Times
Denise
is an award winning, self-taught,
Multi-media Fiber Artist with over 30 years of National and
International Art experience which includes installation and curator of
exhibits at local Valley Museums and venues. She grew up in the
Sandia Mountain Range of New Mexico and resides in Mesa, Arizona for
over 23 years.
She uses original photography and
watercolor images printed onto fabric
with Archival Ultrachrome Inks on a 7600 Epson printer. She is known to
use coffee filters, heat set images, manipulate fabric, spinning and
knitting threads, along with beads and finishing her works with thread
play and fine workmanship. Screen-print, airbrush, resists,
fabric
dyes, oils and watercolors add to the design surface.
A
studio in her home is
open to tour by appointment. Her work is
viewed and collected by public and private collections. Denise's
work includes commissioned fiber pieces for the NFL Atlanta Falcons,
The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and The Mountain Sky Guest Ranch
in Atlanta, Georgia. And a 6-foot Whole Cloth piece for The
Seattle Art Museum Art Restoration Department and The Jewish Foundation
supporters.
